The SOL Reminiscence Project

A marriage of Adurs arts and heritage

Adurs Arts and Heritage

Headed by Claire Lemmon, SOL's arts and heritage project is aiming to reach across the generations and bring our common history alive. Not unlike horrible histories we are hoping to make old skills and peoples rich and diverse experiences alive and relevant to all the generations. Turning peoples experiences into a relevant artwork, documentary, podcast, app or some other form of appropriate outcome. Collating and making a unique library of Adur that can travel -  around schools or groups or homes or can be accessed through a Youtube channel or on-demand radio.

Giving our history, crafts and lives a platform to thrive

Talk with us...

The Sea of Lights parade has a cross-generational connection to the community. We want to continue our work across the community with our new Heritage and Arts project.

Bringing Stories Alive

Together we can work with an individual to bring their story alive or to be a part of keeping thier lifes work relevant alive. Through reteaching a lost craft, recording life in a graphic novel, animation, quilt, music, documentary.

Sharing across the generations
Our past has important lessons and skills that need to be passed along to the next generation. We will facilitate this sharing by putting the stories into a format our young people enjoy.
